I have been using smoothies for over a year now to help control my type 2 diabetes. Smoothies are the only way I can handle protein powders. I use Greek yogurt, vanilla plant-based protein, berries that are in season, spinach or kale and coconut water. My A1C has dropped from 7.8 to 5.3 since I’ve been using the smoothies in place of high carbs and sweets for snacks. I’ve lost about 20 pounds, too.
So happy for you, Regina. I am glad you are enjoying the smoothies.
