Love your recipes. You are my go-to, even if I already have a recipe in case yours is better…and it always is. Can I substitute corn meal for the muffin mix? I want to make this today but it is what I have on hand.
Thank you so much for your kind words Marilyn! Cornmeal won’t work in place of muffin mix but you can make a homemade corn muffin mix to use in place. I hope that helps.
I just love viewing all your receipes! If I was younger n had a family to cook for, I would make many more. Going back to cooking has helped my edema because I can control the salt level for my heart. I especially love the videos…it takes the apprehension out of making a new receipe. And, enhances my appetite.
Thanks again, Holly n crew, for all your hard work. I’m sure you inspire young ones to learn to cook from scratch and not eat out so much.

Turned out great but took longer to cook that listed. I heavily relied on your crock pot recipes this
year and wasn’t disappointed.
Sounds lovely but is it possible to use another brand of cornbread mix?
Surely, one larger box would be the same as two of Jiffy mix?
I tried Jiffy twice and the result was entirely unsatisfactory both times
I carefully followed the directions and it was dry and so bad I threw
it out after cutting one piece
UGH
As long as the amount is the same, any brand should work in this recipe.
