This easy homemade chipotle aioli sauce recipe is so versatile, it’ll be in your fridge all year long!
Double up on this quick, spicy mayo spread because it’s one of the best condiments to ever to hit the fridge! A standard aioli recipe is a mayonnaise base with garlic and other additions, this easy version adds in a little heat too!
Ingredients/Variations
MAYONNAISE You can use store-bought mayonnaise or make your own homemade mayonnaise. Light or regular will both work great!
SPICES Garlic, onion powder, and cumin are mixed in with the mayo to give it that savory flavor!
CHIPOTLE Bring on the heat! Chipotle peppers finely minced. Chiptole powder will work in a pinch.
VARIATIONS If there’s no chipotle powder or peppers, then use sriracha or chop up some jalapenos! Add as much or as little heat as you can handle.

I have a can of chipotle peppers in adobe sauce. Is it ok to use one of those peppers, or does it need to by a dried chipotle pepper? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dried one.
Canned chipotle is delicious in this recipe.
Used this as a drizzle on crispy chicken tacos, so delicious!
Yum, that is a delicious way to use this aioli!
is this dried chipotle pepper or in adobo sauce?
thanks in advance
Hi Ryan, for this recipe we use dried chipotle peppers or you can use ½ teaspoon chipotle powder (or to taste).

This Chipotle Aioli is my new favorite dip! I made it to go with my sweet potato fries and the whole family loved it. I didn’t have fresh lime juice but it still tasted great without it!
So glad you loved it Shannon!
