BBQ pork chops on the grill are a summertime (or anytime) favorite.
Try these lightly seasoned boneless pork chops, brushed with tangy BBQ sauce and grilled to juicy perfection.
The Easiest BBQ Pork Chops Are…
- A super quick and easy recipe that needs just a few ingredients.
- Always tender and juicy.
- Flavorful
What You’ll Need
Pork Chops: Look for thicker boneless chops around ¾” that are about the same size so they cook evenly. Bone-in pork chops will work, too, and if you have thinner chops, be sure not to overcook them. (See recipe notes for suggested cooking times)
BBQ Sauce: Use your favorite flavor of BBQ sauce (I love this one) or DIY your own for tasty homemade flavor.
Honey: Honey adds a bit of sweetness and helps the chops to caramelize.
Variations
- Switch out the honey with brown sugar or maple syrup.
- Use sriracha or chile paste instead of hot sauce for an easy substitute.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, or other simple seasonings like black pepper into the sauce.
- Marinate in the sauce for about 30 minutes in a zippered bag at room temperature for more infused flavor and juicy pork chops.
How to Make BBQ Pork Chops
BBQ Pork Chops on the grill are a summertime (or anytime) favorite!
- Score the sides of the pork chops so they don’t curl up as they cook. Season with salt and pepper.
- Grill pork chops (recipe below), flipping occasionally. Brush with BBQ sauce in the last 5 minutes of cooking.
- Remove BBQ pork chops from the grill and let rest.
Pork Chop Pro Tips
- Keep the pork tender by making sure not to overcook them (use a meat thermometer).
- Cook the pork chops to 142°F in the thickest part of the meat—once removed from the heat, they will continue to cook to 145°F.
- Pork chops can be (and should be!) a little bit pink in the center.
- Store leftover BBQ pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

REPIN this BBQ Pork Chops Recipe
Can these be done in a grill pan on top of stove? I don’t have a grill.
I have not tried but that should work well.
Looks great. If I were to broil instead of grill, would I use the same cooking times? Can’t wait to try.
Hey MelB, I can’t say for sure since I haven’t tried broiling this recipe. But we have this oven baked pork chop recipe that might work great for you.
Definitely going to make these. I’m going to brine them first using your amazing brine then marinate them as per the recipe.
