This was so delicious. I added 1 can of refried beans in the bottom of a 9 X 13 pan so it was a thin layer, just right for some people. My gang gobbled it up!!
Easy and delicious. You can add all the fixings of a great taco.
Can this be served warm ? If so what do you suggest? The addition of refried beans sound great! Thx Holly!
I have never tried serving it warm but that sounds like a fun idea!
How do you store this and how long? If I had to make it 2 days before serving, without adding the toppings, would it be ok? Thanks so much!
Yes, that will work well, Debbie. Just keep covered in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
I used cream cheese, nonfat greek yogurt, taco seasoning, a little lime and lime zest because I had it…a bit of cheddar grated in the dip and some black beans! SO SO GOOD!
Looks good for Cinco de Mayo
Made this for my Spanish class as a last minute project, I’m incredibly inexperienced so it took me far longer than five minutes but when I finished and added a lot of cheese the dip was truly busting
Yay Landon, well done!
Truly busting?
Okay, so I made the taco dip as the recipe directed. I thought it was too thin with that much sour cream in it. However, I used the 1/3 less fat Philadelphia cream cheese because the store was out of the original style. So, I won’t ever use the low fat one again for this. I think the low fat kind is not a good choice. It tasted good, it was just too thin.
Oh no, sorry that happened, Connie! The regular cream cheese does have a higher fat content so helps to give it that yummy thickness to the dip. If you try this recipe again I would definitely recommend using regular cream cheese.

Fabulous and classic! We also add a layer of taco sauce onto the creamy part before the lettuce and cheese. So good!
If using homemade taco seasoning, how many tablespoons should I use?
If it’s this taco seasoning recipe, you’ll need 2 tablespoons.
Really, really good as written! As a good south Texas lady, I suggest adding a layer of good-quality refried beans on the bottom. Beans are mandatory in Texas! :)
Love this dip so easy to make and so delicious.❤️
I am making your easy taco dip for a Christmas party! This is the first time to make and bring it!
I am sure they will love it! Have fun at the Christmas party Alesia!
If I want to add refried beans to this dip would I put it on top of of cream cheese mix, or under, or just leave it out?
I would suggest mixing them with a little bit of milk and adding them to the bottom as I do with a 7 Layer Dip.
Can’t wait to try most of these recipes!
